Maybank is pleased to announce that Bank Negara Malaysia had in principle approved the setting up of a takaful company under Maybank's subsidiary, Mayban Fortis Holdings Berhad. The approval also allows Mayban Fortis Holdings Berhad to stagger the injection of its RM35 million paid up capital.

The setting up of the takaful company would enable the Maybank Group to offer to its customers a diversified range of insurance products and enhance Maybank's strategic business development.
