On behalf of Maybank, Aseambankers Malaysia Berhad wishes to announce that 976,057,505 new ordinary shares of RM1.00 each in Maybank will be issued to the shareholders of Maybank whose names appear in the Record of Depositors as at the close of business at 5.00 p.m. on 20 February 2008 pursuant to the Bonus Issue. The Bonus Shares shall be listed and quoted on Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad with effect from 9.00 a.m. on Thursday, 21 February 2008. This announcement is dated 20 February 2008. |
