| Contents | Malayan Banking Berhad (“Maybank”) wishes to announce that one of its indirect subsidiaries, PhilleoAllied Trustee Berhad ("PATB"), which had been placed under members' voluntary liquidation on 12 January 2004 and held its final meeting on 8 February 2010, was dissolved on 9 May 2010. PATB had been incorporated for the intended principal activity to provide trustee services for Philleo Allied Bank which had been acquired by Maybank. However, PATB had not commenced operations since its incorporation. The dissolution of PATB will not have any material effect on the earnings or assets of Maybank Group for the year ending 30 June 2010. None of the directors or substantial shareholders of Maybank or persons connected to them has any interest in the voluntary liquidation. This announcement is dated 11 May 2010. |
