Working experience and occupation Mr Furlan has a robust background in digital transformation, data analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) across diverse industries such as banking, insurance, eCommerce, retail, agriculture, telco, and public sector. His global experience extends across South-East Asia and is complemented by his experience in internal audit and cybersecurity practices.

He had served as Advisory Director, Data and Analytics in EY Advisory based first in Australia and then Malaysia from 2015 to 2018. He led the development and implementation of innovative AI enterprise solutions across major financial and insurance institutions, and developed Internal Audit solutions which were then employed by EY and supported the development of Cyber security offerings. Prior to joining EY Advisory, Mr Furlan served for over a decade (from 2004 to 2015) as a Senior Consulting Manager with Accenture Digital in the UK and Australia.

He was the Regional Head of Business Insights and Regional Head of Business Operations (for eCommerce & Advertising Operations) of Axiata Digital Advertising (ADA) in Malaysia from 2018 to 2022 before he founded his own boutique consulting firm based in Kuala Lumpur, Foray Advisory, which provides Digital Transformation and AI advisory services to companies in South-East Asia. During his tenure with ADA, he established the consumer insights / data monetisation business across 10 Asian markets, and he led the strategic scaling, post-merger integration, and turn-around of eCommerce Operations and AdOps.
