Reference is made to the announcements dated 26 February 2019, 15 April 2019 and 19 April 2019 in relation to the 18th DRP.

On behalf of the Board of Directors of Malayan Banking Berhad ("Maybank") ("Board"), Maybank Investment Bank Berhad ("Maybank IB") wishes to announce that the issue price of new Maybank Shares to be issued pursuant to the 18th DRP has been fixed today (“Price-Fixing Date”) at RM8.00 per new Maybank Share. The issue price is based on the five (5)-day volume weighted average market price (“VWAMP”) of RM9.06 per Maybank Share up to and including 22 April 2019, being the last trading day prior to the Price-Fixing Date for the issue price of new Maybank Shares after adjusting for the following:

(i) a dividend adjustment of RM0.32 to the five (5)-day VWAMP (“Ex-Dividend VWAMP”); and

(ii) a discount of RM0.74 which is approximately 8.47% discount to the Ex-Dividend VWAMP of RM8.74.

On behalf of the Board, Maybank IB also wishes to announce that the book closure date for the final cash dividend in respect of the financial year ended 31 December 2018 and the 18th DRP has been fixed on 8 May 2019.

A copy of the DRP Statement and Notice of Election (including the Dividend Reinvestment Form) will be despatched to all the entitled shareholders of Maybank (save for foreign-addressed shareholders of Maybank) on 10 May 2019 and the election period for the 18th DRP will close on 24 May 2019.

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the new Maybank Shares arising from the 18th DRP will be listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad on 10 June 2019.
