Reference is made to the announcements dated 12 March 2018 and 18 April 2018 in relation to the 16th DRP.
On behalf of the Board of Directors of Malayan Banking Berhad (“Maybank”), Maybank Investment Bank Berhad (“Maybank IB”) wishes to announce that Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (“Bursa Securities”) had, vide its letter dated 23 April 2018, approved the listing and quotation of up to 185,258,205 new ordinary shares of Maybank on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad to be issued pursuant to the 16th DRP (“Listing Application”).
The approval by Bursa Securities for the Listing Application is subject to the following conditions:
(i) Maybank and Maybank IB must fully comply with the relevant provisions under the Main Market Listing Requirements of Bursa Securities pertaining to the implementation of the 16th DRP;
(ii) Maybank and Maybank IB to inform Bursa Securities upon the completion of the 16th DRP; and
(iii) Maybank to furnish Bursa Securities with a written confirmation of its compliance with the terms and conditions of Bursa Securities’ approval once the 16th DRP is completed.
