Remarks :

On 25 August 2016, the Board of Directors of Malayan Banking Berhad ("Maybank") ("Board") announced its consolidated results for the financial period ended 30 June 2016, wherein the Board declared a single-tier interim cash dividend in respect of the financial year ending 31 December 2016 of RM0.20 per ordinary share of RM1.00 each in Maybank ("Maybank Share") held ("Interim Cash Dividend"). The Board had also determined that the dividend reinvestment plan will apply to the Interim Cash Dividend, in which an electable portion of RM0.16 per Maybank Share held can be elected to be reinvested into new Maybank Shares and the remaining portion of RM0.04 per Maybank Share held will be paid in cash.

Following the above, on behalf of the Board, Maybank Investment Bank Berhad wishes to announce that the issue price of the new Maybank Shares to be issued pursuant to the dividend reinvestment plan applicable to the Interim Cash Dividend has been fixed today at RM7.25 per new Maybank Share.
