Reference is made to the announcements dated 25 February 2016 and 6 April 2016 in relation to the 12th DRP.

On behalf of the Board of Directors of Malayan Banking Berhad (“Maybank”), Maybank Investment Bank Berhad wishes to announce that Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (“Bursa Securities”) had, vide its letter dated 18 April 2016, approved the listing of and quotation for up to 335,169,041 new ordinary shares of RM1.00 each in Maybank on the Main Market of Bursa Securities to be issued pursuant to the 12th DRP (“Listing Application”).

The approval by Bursa Securities for the Listing Application is subject to the following conditions:

(i)  Maybank and its adviser must fully comply with the relevant provisions under the Main Market Listing Requirements of Bursa Securities pertaining to the implementation of the 12th DRP;

(ii)  Maybank and its adviser to inform Bursa Securities upon the completion of the 12th DRP; and

(iii)  Maybank to furnish Bursa Securities with a written confirmation of its compliance with the terms and conditions of Bursa Securities’ approval once the 12th DRP is completed.
