Maybank intends to seek its shareholders' approval on the proposed amendments to its M&A ("Proposed Amendments") at the forthcoming 55^th Annual General Meeting scheduled on 7 April 2015 ("AGM"). The Proposed Amendments are consequential to the proposed increase in Maybank's authorised share capital from RM10,000,000,000 to RM15,000,000,000, the approval of which is also being sought at the AGM.

The Proposed Amendments are conditional upon the following approvals:-

a)    Bank Negara Malaysia (in respect of the proposed increase in Maybank's authorised share capital); and

b)    The shareholders of Maybank at the forthcoming AGM scheduled on 7 April 2015.
