Malayan Banking Berhad ("Maybank") wishes to announce that one of its indirect subsidiaries, Anfin Berhad ("Anfin"), which had been placed under members' voluntary liquidation on 26 May 2004 has held its final meeting on 18 December 2014.

Anfin is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Myfin Berhad (“Myfin”), which in turn is wholly-owned by Maybank.

As a result of a series of corporate exercises undertaken by Maybank Group, Anfin had transferred its business (all assets and liabilities) to Mayban Finance Berhad (currently known as Myfin) on 31 July 1999 and had ceased its operations on 3 August 1999. Subsequently, Myfin transferred its business to Maybank on 1 October 2004.

The dissolution of Anfin will not have any material effect on the earnings or assets of Maybank for the financial year ending 31 December 2014.

None of the directors or substantial shareholders of Maybank or persons connected to them has any interest in the voluntary liquidation.

Anfin shall be dissolved on the expiration of 3 months after the lodgment of the relevant statutory return with the Companies Commission of Malaysia.
