Malayan Banking Berhad (“Maybank”) wishes to announce that one of its indirect subsidiaries, Sri MTB Berhad (“Sri MTB”) which was placed under member’s voluntary liquidation on 25 June 2010 and held its final meeting on 28 August 2014, has been dissolved on 4 December 2014.

Sri MTB is wholly owned by Maybank Ageas Holdings Berhad (“MAHB”). MAHB in turn is a 69.05% owned by Etiqa International Holdings Sdn Bhd (“EIHSB”). EIHSB is a wholly owned subsidiary of Maybank.

Following the transfer of Sri MTB’s business to Etiqa Takaful Berhad on 1 December 2007, Sri MTB had since been dormant.

The dissolution of Sri MTB will not have any material effect on the earnings or assets of Maybank for the financial year ending 31 December 2014.

None of the directors or substantial shareholders of Maybank or persons connected to them has any interest in the voluntary liquidation.
