Malayan Banking Berhad ("Maybank") wishes to announce that one of its indirect subsidiaries, Budaya Tegas Sdn Bhd (“BTSB”), which had been placed under members' voluntary liquidation on 16 February 2011, has held its final meeting on 25 November 2014.

BTSB is a subsidiary of Maysec Sdn Bhd which in turn is wholly owned by Maybank Investment Bank Berhad (“Maybank IB”). Maybank IB is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Maybank.

BTSB, an investment holding company has been dormant since 2000. The liquidation of BTSB was part of the corporate rationalisation exercise at Maybank IB.

The dissolution of BTSB will not have any material effect on the earnings or assets of Maybank for the financial year ending 31 December 2014.

None of the directors or substantial shareholders of Maybank or persons connected to them has any interest, indirect direct or in the voluntary liquidation.

BTSB shall be dissolved on the expiration of 3 months after the lodgment of the related statutory return with the Companies Commission of Malaysia.
