Malayan Banking Berhad ("Maybank") wishes to announce that one of its indirect subsidiaries, Aseam Malaysia Nominees (Tempatan) Sdn Bhd (“AMNT”) which had been placed under members' voluntary liquidation on 1 July 2011, has held its final meeting on 25 November 2014.

AMNT is a wholly owned subsidiary of Maybank Investment Bank Berhad (“Maybank IB”). Maybank IB is a wholly owned subsidiary of Maybank.

AMNT was providing nominee services and has been inactive since 2006. The liquidation of AMNT was part of the corporate rationalisation exercise at Maybank IB.

The dissolution of AMNT will not have any material effect on the earnings or assets of Maybank for the financial year ending 31 December 2014.

None of the directors or substantial shareholders of Maybank or persons connected to them has any interest, direct or indirect in the voluntary liquidation.

AMNT shall be dissolved on the expiration of 3 months after the lodgment of the related statutory return with the Companies Commission of Malaysia.
