Malayan Banking Berhad (Maybank) wishes to announce that one of its indirect subsidiaries, MNI Holdings Berhad (MNIH) which was placed under member’s voluntary liquidation on 1 March 2010 and held its final meeting on 28 February 2014, has been dissolved on 6 June 2014.

MNIH is wholly owned by Maybank Ageas Holdings Berhad (MAHB). MAHB in turn is 69.05% owned by Etiqa International Holdings Sdn Bhd (EIHSB). EIHSB is a wholly owned subsidiary of Maybank.

MNIH was acquired by MAHB on 13 December 2005. Following the transfer of MNIH’s subsidiary, Malaysia National Insurance Berhad to MAHB on 28 June 2007, MNIH had since been dormant.

The dissolution of MNIH will not have any material effect on the earnings or assets of Maybank for the financial year ending 31 December 2014.

None of the directors or substantial shareholders of Maybank or persons connected to them has any interest in the voluntary liquidation.
