Malayan Banking Berhad (Maybank) wishes to announce that one of its indirect subsidiaries, Peram Ranum Berhad (Peram Ranum) which was placed under member’s voluntary liquidation on 1 November 2012 and held its final meeting on 28 February 2014, has been dissolved on 6 June 2014. Peram Ranum, a dormant company, is wholly owned by Maybank Ageas Holdings Berhad (MAHB). MAHB in turn is 69.05% owned by Etiqa International Holdings Sdn Bhd (EIHSB). EIHSB is a wholly owned subsidiary of Maybank.
The dissolution of Peram Ranum will not have any material effect on the earnings or assets of Maybank for the financial year ending 31 December 2014.
None of the directors or substantial shareholders of Maybank or persons connected to them has any interest in the voluntary liquidation.
