We refer to the announcement on 29 May 2006 in relation to the Sale and Purchase Agreement (“SPA”) entered into between Malayan Banking Berhad (“Maybank”), Aseambankers Malaysia Berhad (“Aseambankers”) and Mayban Securities Sdn Bhd with Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad (“ASNB”) on 26 May 2006 for the purchase of the entire issued and paid up capital of MUTB.


Clause 3.1 of the SPA provides that the Condition Precedents to the SPA are to be fulfilled on or before the Conditional Fulfillment Period which is defined to be 6 months from the date of the SPA, or such later date as the parties may mutually agree.

In relation thereto, we are pleased to notify that all parties involved have agreed to extend the Condition Fulfillment Period from 25 November 2006 to 2 February 2007.
