Contents	Maybank wishes to refer to its earlier announcement on 7 May 2008 in respect of the signing of an MOU between Maybank and ICD to jointly explore the feasibility of establishing an international Takaful holding company. After completion of the feasibility study and review of the final report presented by the appointed consultants, both parties have agreed to not proceed with the establishment of the international Takaful holding company. Following the above, Maybank and ICD have mutually agreed that the MOU is hereby terminated. This announcement is dated 29 April 2009.
