Single-tier first interim dividend in respect of the financial year ending 31 December 2022 of RM0.28 per ordinary share in Malayan Banking Berhad

Remarks :

(Unless otherwise stated, all abbreviations and definitions used herein shall have the same meaning as those used in the announcements dated 25 August 2022, 1 September 2022 and 5 September 2022 in relation to the 23rd DRP)

On 25 August 2022, the Board announced its unaudited consolidated results for the financial period ended 30 June 2022, wherein the Board had declared a single-tier first interim dividend in respect of the financial year ending 31 December 2022 of RM0.28 per Maybank Share ("First Interim Dividend"). The Board had also determined that the dividend reinvestment plan will apply to the First Interim Dividend, in which an electable portion of RM0.07 per Maybank Share held can be elected to be reinvested into new Maybank Shares and the remaining portion of RM0.21 per Maybank Share held will be paid in cash.

Following the above, on behalf of the Board, Maybank IB wishes to announce that the issue price of the new Maybank Shares to be issued pursuant to the 23rd DRP has been fixed today at RM8.38 per new Maybank Share.
