The Board of Directors of Maybank wishes to inform that the Company intends to seek its shareholders’ approval on the proposed amendments to the Constitution of the Company (“Proposed Amendment”) at the forthcoming 62nd Annual General Meeting (“AGM”) of the Company.

The Proposed Amendment is made mainly to update the Constitution so as to provide clarity and consistency with the amendments that arise from the Companies Act 2016 (including Frequently Asked Questions (“FAQs”) on Virtual General Meetings issued by the Companies Commission of Malaysia), Guidance Note and FAQs on the Conduct of General Meetings for Listed Issuers issued by the Securities Commission Malaysia and other relevant regulatory provisions.

The details of the Proposed Amendment will be circulated to the shareholders together with the Notice of the 62nd AGM of the Company which will also be made available on the Company’s website in due course.
